Description:
A very fine satin silk ceremonial youth kimono featuring yuzen-dyed auspicious treasure motifs. Lightly padded. Very good condition, with minor imperfections. 38" from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 36" height. The motif that is repeated throughout the garment is a set of legendary auspicious treasures that yield protection and good fortune to the wearer. On each treasure motif, pride of place is given to a very detailed version of the cape of invisibility, whose filaments are used as a device to unify the scattered treasures.
