Description:
A silk uchikake of an old style with no other extant example known of the style. The kimono features motifs a kicho (specialized screen) as well as auspicious ones of flying cranes and tortoises. Many techniques are involved, including refined yuzen-dyeing an various types of embroidery techniques. Good condition, with many imperfections, none of which detract much from the overall. 50" (127cm} from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 60" (153cm) height.
