Description:
A subtle and refined kinsha (fine crepe) silk kimono featuring alternating tan and ivory vertical stripes. Delicate rinzu (damask) horizontal stripes as highlights. Delicate cross-hatch stenciled motifs within the striping. On the lower half of the garment, kiku (chrysanthemum) and kaede (maple) leaves on “shikishi” (square papers) faux-shibori motifs. The upper inner white lining is hand-spun and woven. Very good condition, with minor imperfections including subtle red stain on the front shoulder. 49” from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 58” height.
