A chirimen (crepe) silk kimono featuring painted snowed ‘ume’ (‘plum’) branches and ‘kiku’ (chrysanthemum) motifs. Several groups of supplementary weft thread inserts. Three embroidered mon (family crests), indicating the kimono is semi-formal. The silk doura (inner upper lining) is hand-spun and woven. Light stain on upper left front and on inner lining. 50” from sleeve-end to sleeve-end x 61” height.
