Description:

This boy's silk miyamairi kimono, designed for a ceremonial Shinto shrine blessing, depicts karako children in a daimyo procession reminiscent of Edo times. The artwork is achieved using yuzen-dyeing techniques and accented with metallic embroidery highlights. Despite minor imperfections, it stands as a charming piece, measuring 27 inches (69 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and 39 inches (99 cm) in height.
