This fine silk miyamairi kimono was worn for ceremonial coming-of-age anointment at a Shinto shrine. It features painted motifs depicting a hawk, pine, and Mount Fuji. Measuring approximately 30 inches from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and standing 33 inches tall (76 cm x 84 cm), it bears symbolic imagery associated with strength, longevity, and a sense of grandeur.
