This silk miyamairi kimono, used for the christening of a baby boy in a Shinto ceremony, showcases motifs of samurai helmets, cranes, and castles. The silk fabric has a dry, slightly stiff texture, and the design incorporates silkscreening, embroidery couching, and gold foil outlining. Despite being in very good condition, there's discreet foxing, as visible in the detail images. It measures 31 inches (79 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and stands at 38 inches (97 cm) in height.
