This silk kimono showcases stenciled white and red kaede (maple leaf) motifs, along with tiny blue maple leaves filling the remaining background. The silk used here is called jiginu, known for its coarser texture, often produced in rural districts of Japan. Its inner lining is crafted from cotton. Despite minor imperfections, the kimono remains in very good condition, measuring approximately 50 inches (127 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and 55 inches (140 cm) in height.
