This substantial crepe kimono, lined and seemingly tailored for the colder winter months, features winter plant patterns that reinforce its seasonal purpose. Abundant surihaku (metallic leaf outlining) adorns this heavy kimono, characterized by its textured surface. To achieve the subtle shading of whites and off-whites in the background, the artist employed yuzen-dyeing throughout the entire background, showcasing a laborious yet masterful technique. It measures 49 inches (124 cm) from sleeve-end to sleeve-end and stands at 61 inches (155 cm) in height.
